Frequently Asked Questions
A Quiet Time is when a believer in Jesus Christ pauses everything they’re doing and focuses on developing their relationship with Him. It consists of reading a portion of Scripture, answering two questions about the passage (“What is the writer saying?” and “How can I apply this to my life?”), and a time of prayer and interacting with friends on what I learned. The Word of Life Quiet Time works through small chunks of scripture every day (usually somewhere between 10-20 verses). We’ve tried to break up the passages in meaningful ways while still keeping each day’s reading manageable. Our reading plan works through most of the Bible every 6 years. We are also working to incorporate other reading plans you can use to supplement your Quiet Time reading each day. Back to top
It’s incredibly convenient to have access to your devotional book, journal, prayer list, and multiple translations of scripture no matter where you are (and without carrying around 5 books with you). Whether you're traveling, on lunch break, or simply enjoy typing rather than writing, doing Quiet Time online can be very convenient.
“What’s God been teaching you lately?” is a questions that most of us want to ask, but all too often it never gets brought up in our conversations with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Online Quiet Time gives you a platform to share your daily thoughts on God’s Word with others and learn from what God is teaching them in return.
Accountability is pretty clear in scripture and most of us know how much easier it is to reach our goals when we have someone challenging and encouraging us to keep pushing and stay faithful. Online Quiet Time brings accountability and encouragement one step closer with simple tools to help you keep up to date with your accountability partners. Back to top
First, invite someone to be your accountability partner (a friend, a family member, your pastor, anyone). Once they accept, you’ll both be able to see a calendar view of the other's Quiet Time, prayer, and additional scripture reading activity. You can see which days they completed, which days they missed, and which days they went back and completed later. Seeing someone's daily activity is only one part of accountability. Online Quiet Time has a built-in messaging feature that allows you to send private messages to encourage and challenge your partner. Back to top
Yes. It is possible to make it look like I’ve been reading my Bible and praying every day even though I really haven’t. The key is to maintain personal relationships with your accountability partners. Nothing is as powerful as one person asking another person how their prayer life is or how their walk with God has been. Our accountability tools are meant to compliment, not replace, that process. You have the choice to share your quiet time with everyone, only your friends, only your accountability partners, or to keep it completely private. Each user can set the defaults in their account settings along with the ability to quickly change the privacy settings for each individual day of Quiet Time as you complete it. Back to top
No problem! We provide all of our journaling, prayer, and Bible reading tools in a book. Check out our store to purchase a physical Quiet Time book. Back to top
If you’d like to work ahead, you can view the passage and journal entry section for one day beyond the current date. Back to top
The journal section of the site will always show you the current day’s passage by default, but you are welcome to return to previous days’ passages to complete those days. For accountability purposes, those journals that are made up after 11:59pm of the day they were assigned will be marked as “late” in our accountability tools. Back to top
Yes! Online Quiet Time is an incredible tool for families, churches, small groups, or anyone who wants to grow together. Create groups to encourage and challenge one another and share your thoughts on the current day’s passage. Back to top
We are in an ongoing process of looking for new resources to add to our library. As those resources become available and as they fit into our overall purpose, we will continue to make those resources available in various package levels of the quiet time. Back to top

We’ve found that FB and Twitter connection authorizations expire, and need to be re-initiated. So in order to get it working again, you need to refresh the login. It’s a bit out of our hands, but we know how to kick-start it again on an individual basis.
2. Go to the Social Networks tab where you originally set it up.
3. Click on the red circle by the social network that has stopped:
4. Then click on the Connect button:
5. If you are already logged in to FB with your browser, it will likely just go, and you’ll be all set. It may ask to you [authorize app] or login, but that should be all there is to it.
Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com if we can help you in any other way. As a staff, we hope the Online Quiet Time is a great help to you. Net10 is owned by TracFone, which leases its wireless signals from a variety of national carriers, such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Alltel.
Because of that the user will need to figure out which network they use, then select that network from the provider list in the Online QT. For Net10 users to figure out which network they are on, they can simple do the following:
1) By trial and error, turn on the reminders feature, put in your cell number then select one of the major networks and see if it works. It doesn’t work after 24 hours, go back and change the provider.
2) To find out which network the phone is on, go to the Mobile Carrier Lookup type in your phone number and it will return the carrier to you. Then input your number and carrier into the online QT.Back to top
